Online vs. On-Campus
Online courses will be delivered via Blackboard. This is a Learning Management System that houses all of our online courses. Students in online courses will be awarded the same credit hours as traditional students. The time spent online in your course will be determined by the amount of coursework, online class meetings, and any other outlying factors. It is recommended that you devote time each day to your online courses.
Expectations for Online Learning
All students at Fayetteville Technical Community College, regardless of the learning environment or modality, must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct as outlined in Section III-6.3 of the Academic Procedures Manual. Students are required to complete all assignments with integrity and academic honesty. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Online students at FTCC must:
- Use computer skills for online learning and assignments;
- Ensure they have regular and consistent access to a stable internet connection to complete an online course;
- Learn, study, and complete assignments on time (independently or with minimal guidance from an instructor);
- Attend all virtual class meetings (if applicable);
- Resolve (or seek assistance to resolve) any technical issues that arise during the course as soon as possible; and
- Regularly communicate with the instructor.
