Women’s Basketball finished their 2024-25 season 12-13 overall and 7-12 in conference play, tying the program wins record of 12 games.
As a team, they set a new school record for 174 3-point baskets made, 374 assists and 94 blocks. The program is making improvements in all areas as the groundwork continues to grow forward.
Amore’ Kirkland (Fayetteville, NC) transferred to FTCC from Averett University for this season. She was the leading scorer with 362 points, having the most field goals shots on the team making 135 and leading with 118 assists. Kirkland earned Region 10 honors making Second Team All-Region and the All-Academic team.
Amire Banks (Mount Vernon, GA) was another big offensive player for the Trojans this season. She finished her freshman season with 316 points, 97 assists, 40 steals and 123 rebounds. Banks earned Honorable Mention and All-Academic honors for Region 10.
Sophomore, Nyla Mitchell (Lumberton, NC), led the team with 52 steals and 60 3-point baskets. She scored thirteen more points this season than her freshman year, playing in three less games.
Ke’onna Bryant (Fayetteville, NC) was a defensive player for the Trojans this season. She led the team with 171 rebounds and 22 blocks.
Freshman, Keara Duncan (Fayetteville, NC) contributed 55 points and 93 rebounds. She made the Region 10 All-Academic Team.
The Trojans had other offensive players contribute to their success: Nyleiah White (Albermarle, NC) scored 117 points in 18 games and Mauricia Bennett (Whiteville, NC) had 94 points and 20 assists.
Defensively, Aaliyah Thomas (Fayetteville, NC) finished with 116 rebounds and 21 blocks. My’Asia Simms (Fairmont, NC) contributed 60 rebounds and 15 blocks while Aliah Barker (Harrison, TN) had 25 rebounds and 25 steals.
Ashoneca King (Pinebluff, NC) also earned Region 10 All-Academic Honors.
A lot of Trojans broke into the record books, creating new top five records for Women’s Basketball in multiple categories.
