FAYETTEVILLE, NC – August 8, 2019 – The Health and Fitness Science Department of Fayetteville Technical Community College will present a 5K Color Run at the Fayetteville campus of FTCC on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The family-friendly event for runners, walkers, and families with strollers or wagons will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a closed 5K loop beginning in the parking lot area behind the Tony Rand Student Center. The cost to participate is $35.00 with a discounted rate available for teachers, first responders, and military members. Children age 10 and under may participate free when accompanied by parent or guardian. Proceeds will benefit the FTCC Foundation, which supports qualifying FTCC students with scholarships and financial assistance.
Packet pickup for the event is available on Friday, September 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Horace Sisk Gymnasium. Participants must sign a waiver and show a valid ID to collect packets. Same-day registration and packet pickup are available from 8 to 9 a.m. The event will include participant awards in fun categories, and representatives from various student organizations and community vendors will be on hand to share information.
