FAYETTEVILLE, NC – February 14, 2019 – Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) announced today the launch of the inaugural men’s baseball and women’s softball intercollegiate teams’ seasons with the men’s home schedule beginning on March 9 and the women’s home schedule beginning on March 1. Both the men’s and women’s teams will compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Division II Region 10.
The men’s baseball team will open at home with a double header on March 9 against Patrick Henry Community College (Martinsville, Virginia), beginning at 2 p.m., at Trojan Field, J.P. Riddle Stadium. The women’s softball team will open at home on March 1 against Paul D. Camp Community College (Suffolk, Virginia), beginning at 3 p.m. at Freedom Christian Academy softball field, 3130 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC.
