Fayetteville Technical Community College will reopen its campuses fully to students and the public on Monday, April 19.
Students now in synchronous online classes can return to campus at that point for face-to-face instruction, if they choose, or they can remain online through the end of the spring semester.
FTCC will return to its usual slate of in-person classes for the summer and fall semesters.
The College is also reopening to the public.
Appropriate safety precautions will be observed. The College has urged faculty, staff and students to get vaccinated against COVID-19, if they are able, and FTCC recently hosted a vaccine clinic on its Fayetteville campus in partnership with the Cumberland County Department of Public Health. Nearly 400 people were vaccinated during the one-day clinic.
“We are confident that we can continue to operate safely and effectively as we have done throughout the pandemic,” said FTCC President Dr. J. Larry Keen. “The continuing climb in vaccination numbers and the downward trend in case numbers is very encouraging. We want to help students who’ve missed being in the classroom get back on track with their goals.”
FTCC will continue to offer a robust selection of online and hybrid courses.
