FTCC volunteers distributed Thank You signs during the Annual Veterans Day Parade in Fayetteville on Nov. 6, 2021.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Volunteers from Fayetteville Tech were on hand at the Annual Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Fayetteville on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021. The group passed out 2,500 Thank You signs before and during the event on behalf of Heroes Homecoming IX.

The Heroes Homecoming initiative is a Cumberland County-wide effort developed to recognize and appreciate active duty and veterans for their courage and sacrifice

The volunteers started at 8:30 a.m. and traveled along the parade route, beginning at the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, walking along Hay Street to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum before turning around to return to the CVB.
