
Kerri Donohue
Fayetteville Technical Community College Biology Instructor Kerri Donohue has been named an Excellence Award winner by the League for Innovation in the Community College.
The Excellence Award recognizes outstanding faculty, staff, and leaders in the community college field who have made a significant difference in the lives of the students and in the communities their college serves.
The League for Innovation is an worldwide nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing and sustaining deep, transformational innovation within and across colleges and international borders to increase student success and institutional excellence.
Donohue was also recently named a NC State Belk Center Fellow and joined other Fellows at the League for Innovation’s annual conference in San Antonio.
Donohue and fellow instructor Krissy Smith traveled to Bermuda last June on a scouting opportunity for FTCC STEM Abroad, a granted-funded program designed to give students opportunities to travel to Belize and Bermuda to explore climate, energy, and environmental topics at scientific educational field stations.
The pair visited the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) where they learned about the activities and research available to students.
The NC State Belk Center announced the Excellence Award winners Monday on its social media. Monica Simmons of Forsyth Community College was recognized as a fellow recipient.
