BioWork Process Technician
This 10-week program teaches the foundation skills needed to begin a career as a process technician for a biotechnology, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing company. Process Technicians are responsible for the production of chemical and pharmaceutical products.

Building Construction Technology
This is a 12-week course designed to introduce elements of construction building trades. OSHA, NCCER safety, electrical, solar, carpentry, drafting, plumbing, HVAC/EPA, welding, masonry and human resource development will be covered.
This course is open to active duty military (transitioning and non-transitioning), veterans, and civilians.

Changing Lanes Collision Repair
Changing Lanes
This course is a fifteen (15) week auto body technician training program. Topics include safety, tool identification, vehicle disassembly and reassembly, plastic welding and repair, metal welding and repair.
This program is a pre-hiring program for Caliber Collision.

CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+
This course is an eight (8) week program designed to prepare students for the CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ exams. Students will learn about hardware, operating systems, networking, security and troubleshooting as well as more specialized topics such as mobile devices, laptops, and printers.
This course also incorporates a Human Resource Development (HRD) session which assists in civilian resume writing as well as techniques and etiquette tips for interviewing.
Candidates from the 25-series MOS are recommended to apply; however, all candidates with necessary experience and qualifications will be considered. If you are a different MOS and feel that you have the necessary background and experience, please contact the Transition Tech Recruiter, Pendy Eldridge.

CISCO CCNA
This course is an eight (8) week program designed to prepare students for the CISCO CCNA ICND1 and ICND2 exams. Students will learn will learn the basics of networking, troubleshoot LAN switching technologies and configure routers and distinguish the various routing technologies.
This course also incorporates a Human Resource Development (HRD) session which assists in civilian resume writing as well as techniques and etiquette tips for interviewing.
Candidates from the 25-series MOS are recommended to apply; however, all candidates with necessary experience and qualifications will be considered. CDL Truck Driver Training
Introduction
This is a 10-week program designed to prepare students for the Commercial Driving License examination. Topics include hours of service reporting, pre-trip/post-trip inspections, driving practice, trip planning and DMV testing. Additional instructional areas will be included to ensure students’ success in the commercial truck driving industry.
Instruction is provided on manual transmission only. FTCC instructors are NCDMV approved third-party examiners; therefore, all testing is conducted at FTCC.
Successful students will be awarded a Class A CDL license.

Electrical Lineworker
This 9.5-week course is designed to provide specific aspects of building and maintaining electrical power circuits and equipment for overhead and underground construction. Topics include electrical lineworker terminology, voltage ratings, pole climbing, types and use of electrical tools/equipment, electrical safety, arc flash safety, material assembly, OSHA 10 Construction Certification and CPR/First Aid Certification.

EMT Basic
This course is an eight (8) week program which provides training in the first phase of the EMT career structure. Topics include basic emergency care skills, such as defibrillation, airway maintenance, CPR, spinal immobilization, bleeding control, and fracture management. This class exceeds National Registry stand for EMT certification. Upon completion of this course, students will be eligible to take the North Carolina State and/or National Registry Certification Exams.
This course also incorporates a Human Resource Development (HRD) session which assists in civilian resume writing as well as techniques and etiquette tips for interviewing.

All students must comply with the immunization policy and provide proof of the following:
- Hepatitis B
- MMR
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- COVID-19 vaccine (required by clinical site)
- Current PPD (Tuberculosis screening within a 6-month time period)
- Unofficial copy of high school transcript

Logistics & Distribution Management
This is a 7-week course providing an overview of logistics and distribution management. Core topics include warehousing, inventory control, material handling, global logistics, operations management, software systems, safety/security, and the movement and storage of goods from raw materials sources to end consumers. Training includes Lean Six Sigma, OSHA 30, Forklift, and Certified Logistics Technician modules provided through the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC). Upon completion, students will have a knowledge base of the functions, techniques and tools utilized in warehouse and distribution center and their role in various industry setting.

Firefighter Academy
This 14-week course provides candidates the knowledge, skills, and ability to satisfy the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications, Emergency Medical requirements of NFPA 1001 Chapter 6, and NFPA 1072 Standard for Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Qualifications. Certification is transferrable to all 50 states.

Welding Programs
Structural Welding
This Structural course provides instruction on the principles and practices of welding. Emphasis is on the welding processes such as SMAW (stick), GMAW (mig), TAW (tig), and oxyacetylene welding. Additional topics include human resource development, OSHA 30 Construction, and small business set-up.
