“It’s OK to Talk about Mental Health” seminar

FTCC’s Wellness Care Services will host a seminar entitled “It’s OK to Talk about Mental Health” on Wednesday, May 29, in Room 108 of the General Classroom Building.

The seminar, part of an observation of Mental Health Awareness Month, includes three hour-long talks:

  • 11am: Keynote Speaker Felishia McPherson, chair of the Peer Leadership Council of NAMI of North Carolina
  • Noon: “Movement Meditation,” with FTCC Health & Fitness instructor Qadeerah Rasheed-Brown
  • 1pm: “Creative Relaxation: Crafting Your Way to Calmness,” with FTCC Success Coaches Teshia McLean and Lorena Murray

This event is free and open to the public. The seminar is made possible with support from Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc.
