
FTCC’s FBLA-Collegiate chapter celebrates a successful showing at the State Leadership Conference, held in Charlotte on March 27-29.
Fayetteville Technical Community College’s FBLA-Collegiate chapter returned from Charlotte with a collection of awards in tow after competing in the North Carolina State Leadership Conference on March 27-29.
While competing alongside 2- and 4-year colleges and universities from across the state, FTCC earned a handful of club awards and 17 top-10 individual awards, including two first-place finishes.
The club was recognized as a Gold Star Chapter and earned the Legacy Leadership Award, which is given to chapters that complete a series of state and national activities, demonstrating the chapter’s commitment throughout the year.
The chapter also earned second place in Professional Network Contributors, in Increase in Chapter Membership, Percentage Increase in Chapter Membership, and Amount Contributed to the Professional Network, as well as third place for Increase in Chapter Membership.
Jean Rulls Aberd Diogene, who won two individual first-place awards, and Patrice Simone Browne, Aisha Cox, and Adriana Rangel, who grabbed third place in their respective categories, qualified to compete in the National Leadership Conference in Dallas in May.
