Changing Lanes Sept 2024

Ten graduates from the Changing Lanes program have signed on to employment with FTCC partner Caliber Collision.

The 57th cohort of Changing Lanes, a partnership between FTCC and Caliber Collision, completed the program recently, sending 10 students into the workforce as Caliber Collision employees.

Changing Lanes is part of FTCC’s Transition Tech offerings for transitioning military service members to gain job skills and improve their employment prospects in the civilian workforce. The programs lead to industry certificates and credentials, offer resume assistance, and hold mock interview training.

Changing Lanes is a 15-week auto body technician training program designed by Caliber Collision. Students learn safety, tool identification, vehicle disassembly and reassembly, plastic welding and repair, glass replacement, and metal welding and repair.

The most recent cohort’s 10 graduates have all signed on to employment with Caliber.

Five graduates signed on to the Caliber Collision Technician career track, two to the Protech Calibration track, and three became the first to sign on to the Caliber Auto Glass track.
