SANFORD, N.C. — Fayetteville Tech volleyball opened the season with a straight-set win on the road against Central Carolina on Tuesday.

The Trojans (1-0) cruised past the Cougars (0-3), which won the Division III Region 10 title in the spring, in sets of 25-14, 25-14 and 25-17.

Sophomore right side Lauren Adams led the Trojans with eight kills, while outside hitter Alyssa Wrench and middle Morgan Brady recorded seven each.

Wrench notched 10 digs and four aces, pacing the Trojans in both categories. Sophomore setter Jacqueline Woosley had 26 assists.

The Trojans make their season home debut Friday. FTCC hosts East Division opponent Pitt CC at 6 p.m. at Horace Sisk Gym.
