FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Fayetteville Technical Community College has been ranked third in the nation among two-year colleges, and 10th in the southeast and 47th nationally among colleges and universities for its educational services for veterans.
The 2021 “Best for Vets” rankings are by Military Times magazine and are based on survey data from each educational institution and on public data about colleges and universities from the Department of Education and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Military Times says Best for Vets is the largest and most comprehensive set of rankings for military service members and veterans and can help them make important decisions about their education, including how to use the education benefits they earn through military service.
FTCC was the highest ranked of any college or university in North Carolina that was mentioned on the Best for Vets list.
Military Times noted that 20 percent of FTCC’s students are veterans. FTCC serves active-duty, retired and transitioning military members as well as family members by providing access to academic degree, diploma and certificate programs; short-term skills development training; and personal enrichment courses.
The College also has specialized programs, including its All American Veterans Center, to help veterans and other military-connected students succeed.
