Our Strategic Plan

At Fayetteville Technical Community College, our strategic plan serves as our institutional compass, guiding every action and decision toward advancing our mission and realizing our shared vision. Thoughtfully developed and formally approved by the President and Board of Trustees, this dynamic framework does more than outline goals—it transforms our aspirations into actionable strategies that drive institutional excellence. The plan coordinates our collective efforts across departments, aligns resources with priorities, and ensures every member of our college community understands their vital role in our success. Grounded in our fundamental mission to develop a highly skilled workforce and our vision of transforming lives through lifelong learning, the strategic plan enables us to respond swiftly to emerging workforce needs and educational trends while making data-driven decisions that optimize student success. Through careful resource allocation and continuous assessment of key initiatives, we measure and demonstrate our progress toward institutional goals, uniting our college community around shared objectives while maintaining accountability to our stakeholders and community. By following this carefully crafted roadmap, we ensure that every initiative, from classroom innovation to student support services, advances our commitment to excellence and student success. The strategic plan isn’t just a document—it’s our pledge to students, employers, and the community that we will continue evolving, improving, and delivering the highest quality of education possible.

Our Commitment to Elevating the Student Experience

Ftcc Student Graduate Male

During the 2024-25 academic year, we are transforming the student academic experience through several key initiatives: eliminating administrative and procedural barriers, integrating cutting-edge AI tools for personalized teaching and learning, redesigning the first-year experience to boost early engagement, elevating customer service standards across all student touchpoints, and strengthening communication channels across the institution. In addition, our transition to a one-college model represents a fundamental shift in how we serve our students, moving from siloed divisions to an integrated approach where policies, procedures, and student support services are standardized across the institution, creating a more equitable and efficient educational experience for all students. Our commitment to continuous assessment and refinement of these efforts ensures we remain responsive to student needs while advancing our institution’s mission of educational excellence and career readiness.
