North Carolina Diagnostic Assessment and Placement Test (NC DAP)

The North Carolina Diagnostic Assessment and Placement Test (NC DAP) is a customized state version of the ACCUPLACER. The NC DAP test is administered at all 58 North Carolina Community Colleges. FTCC will implement the full test battery consisting of Math, Revising & Editing Writing, and Essay April 6, 2015. Listed below is the breakdown:

The NC DAP test assess students’ English, reading, and math college readiness skills. It is not a pass or fail but it is important to do your best. The results will determine the appropriate level of English and math courses to enroll in at FTCC. NC DAP scores are valid for five (5) years from test date.

Assistance is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Academic Placement and Assessment Office is located in the General Classroom Building (GCB), Room 212. The ACCUPLACER assessment is administered in the GCB Room 113.
