ACCUPLACER PREP

New students are encouraged to take advantage of our specially designed practice tests prior to taking the ACCUPLACER Placement Test. Once the initial practice test is completed, students can meet with one of our qualified staff members who will review test scores and create a personal learning plan. This personal plan includes worksheets, study materials, and access to all of the free workshops offered in the I-PASS Center.

For distance learning students, please email IPASS@faytechcc.edu to set up a distance-learning plan.

DAILY WORKSHOPS

Free daily workshops are available to new and current pre-curriculum students. These small group sessions are based on topics identified by faculty in pre-curriculum math and English classes.  These topics cover everything from basic mathematics and algebra to topic sentences and MLA formating. Please see our current schedule for weekly workshops. Also, feel free to contact us to suggest topics you would like to see.

 COMPUTER ASSISTANCE

We have an open lab for Pre-Curriculum students to get help with the online components of their classes. While we do not tutor, we are available to help students navigate Blackboard, MyMathLab, Connect, and SAM. We are also an excellent resource for WebAdvisor and student email assistance.

COUNSELING

Personal, career, and educational goals are discussed through one-on-one advisement. Counselors are available on a walk-in basis to develop educational plans, select and schedule courses, assist in assessing abilities and interests, assist with personal concerns, and career planning.
