HIGH SCHOOL CONNECTIONS

Career and College Promise provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students in order to accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills.  There are two ways an eligible high school student can enroll:

  • A College Transfer Pathway
  • A Career and Technical Education Pathway

Registration for Summer 2013 is now closed.

Students wishing to enroll in Fall 2013 classes should visit the High School Connections office during one of the following open registration dates starting May 21st:

  • Tuesdays: 1:30pm to 5:00pm
  • Thursdays: 1:30pm to 5:00pm
  • Fridays: 8:00am to 1:00pm

These dates and times will be valid through Friday, July 26th. Registration is not available July 4th or July 5th. At this time, the following programs are closed for 2013-2014: Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Science, and Simulation and Game Design.

To enroll, students must first submit a completed application to FTCC and print their confirmation page. After applying, the student must bring a copy of their high school transcript showing their GPA and any available test scores (PSAT/PLAN/ACT/SAT) to the High School Connections office in room 117 of the Tony Rand Student Center. Students will choose which High School Connections pathway they wish to pursue (more information below) and HSC staff will assist the student in filling out their enrollment form. Please contact Mary Schmid with any questions.

Please review the HSC admissions process before choosing a pathway.

College Transfer Pathways

The College Transfer Pathways are designed for high school juniors and seniors who wish to begin the pathway towards a baccalaureate degree.
