Funeral Service Education, Health and Fitness Science and Nursing Assistant programs may be entered when you begin your education at FTCC. It is not necessary for you to complete the steps noted in the next paragraph if you choose one of these programs.
All other health programs have a competitive admission process. Before selection into the program, you must complete all pre-requisites and gain competitive points. You may take courses at FTCC as you prepare to compete but will be enrolled in the Associate in General Education program during this time.

As you begin your journey, it is very important for you to understand the application process and the requirements for each program. When you have completed your FTCC application and had your transcripts sent to us, be sure to visit a counselor to obtain a Student Education Plan (SEP).
To gain a better understanding of your academic sequence, you should make an appointment and meet with a member of your program's faculty.
We are anxious to assure that you have all of the assistance you need in making good decisions about program and course selection.

****Criminal background checks are required for several Health Programs. Students may be prohibited from clinical education at specific clinical affiliates based on background check results. This could prevent students from progressing in their respective health programs.****
***Students in health programs may be required to care for clients in clinical settings. Reasonable accommodations will be made to assist students with special needs, but accommodations which are deemed to threaten client safety are not considered reasonable and will not be granted.
