Business Administration/Public Administration (A2512H)

Public Administration is a concentration under the Business Administration program. This curriculum prepares students for entry into management positions in state/local governments and not-for-profit organizations, provides education for current employees, and informs citizens of governmental functions.

Course work includes the study and practical application to personnel administration, decision-making, ethics, organizational theories, non-profit management, urban planning, public finance and budgeting. Emphasis is placed on building analytical skills, stimulating moral imagination, and recognizing the discretionary power of the administrator’s role.

Graduates will be eligible for employment in the government and nonprofit sectors. Individuals interested in serving on advisory boards and in community leadership roles will also benefit from this program.

In addition to the degree program, Business Administration/Public Administration offers a variety of specialized certificates such as Community Leadership, Government Procurement and Contracting, and Nonprofit Management.
