A transfer student is defined as a student that has attended another college or university and is seeking a degree, diploma, certificate, or to complete 12 or more credits in order to transfer to another college or university. Follow these steps below:

2. Financial Aid
•Go to www.fafsa.gov to submit your FAFSA for the year you will be attending FTCC
•The FTCC School Code is 007640
•Contact your high school or institution where you received your high school diploma, GED, or Adult High School diploma and request that they send an official sealed transcript to the Admissions Office. The transcript must show the date of graduation.
•Home-schooled students must submit a copy of the home school’s approved registration from the state in which they are registered and an official sealed and notarized transcript including the graduation date.
•Go to http://www.faytechcc.edu/institutional_effectiveness/pdf/t-17.pdffor transcript request forms.
•If you graduated from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree or higher, your high school transcript may not be needed. Request your official college or university transcript with the graduation data be sent to the Admissions Office. Send all official transcripts from other institutions to the Admissions Office for evaluation of applicable transfer credit(s).
4. Schedule ACCUPLACER Assessment
If you have completed college-level English and/or math, you maynot need to take the ACCUPLACER. There are waiver exceptions that may exempt you from testing.
•PlacementWaiver Exemptions include: ACT & SAT (placementscores expire5yearsfrom test date)
o Minimum ACT score of 20 in math, reading, and English
o MinimumSAT score of 500 in math, critical reading, and writing
•AdditionalPlacementWaiver Exemptions: STANDARDIZED EXAMS
o Minimum qualifying score of standardized exams (AP, CLEP, DANTES, IB andExcelsior)

5. Program Approval
Steps 1-4 must be completed first. All documentation must be submitted to FTCC prior to program approval.
You will be approved for the program you listed on your admissions application.

7. Veterans Services Office – Latest updated news
•If you are seeking VA benefits, you must also submit your DD214, AARTS transcripts, and CLEP scores.
8. Tuition and Fees
•All tuition and fees must be paid by the payment deadline.

9. Student ID Card
•Obtain the ID card in the General Classroom Building (GCB), Room 102.
•Students should obtain their cards from Student Activities by providing:
o Current registration schedule
o Proof of payment of tuition and fees
• When on campus, the ID card should be carried at all times.
10. Parking Decal
To obtain a parking decal, go to Security located in the General Classroom Building (GCB), Room 102. You will need the following documents:
•Your vehicle registration.
•A valid FTCC Student ID card
•Proof of handicap registration (if applicable).
|IMPORTANT NOTE: When keying your CFNC Admissions Application, please pay special attention to "Residency Information". Make sure all areas are complete because this will determine your residency status (in-state versus out-of-state).|
