FTCC AcademicS

Welcome to Curriculum Programs, the “for college credit” Academic Division of Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC)! It is our desire to provide you all the assistance and support that we possibly can in helping you to achieve your educational and career advancement goals. We consider it an honor to be able to help you in meeting the endeavors you have chosen to pursue!

FTCC offers an extensive variety of programs in career fields that are grouped in the following four curriculum program areas: Business and Computer Technology Programs; College Transfer and General Education Programs; Engineering, Public Service, and Applied Technology Programs; and Health Programs. In these program areas, we offer certificate, diploma, and associate degree options.

  • Certificates are designed with a specific skill set focus in mind, range from 12 to 18 semester hour credits, and can usually be completed in one semester by a full-time student.
  • Diplomas range from 36 to 48 semester hour credits, and can usually be completed within two semesters, plus one summer term by a full-time student.
  • Associate Degree Programs range from 64 to 76 semester hour credits, and can usually be completed in two academic years by a full-time student. You can find links to each of these program areas, and additional helpful information on the left-hand side of this page.

Courses successfully completed in certificate and diploma programs can also be applied toward an associate degree. In addition, certain courses and associate degree programs may be accepted by four-year colleges and universities for transfer credit in an associated field. Please let your counselor or advisor know what your long-term educational and career goals are as soon as possible so that they can assist you in helping provide the best plan-of-action for you. If you are unsure of your specific career goals and your choice of a related program of study, I encourage you to visit our Career Coach site at http://www.faytechcc.edu/career-coach/index.aspx that provides regional labor market information and can be cross-referenced to the many degrees, diplomas, and certificate programs offered at FTCC.

Again, welcome to Curriculum Programs! Once you select your academic program, you can return to Admissions to begin the application process. If I can be of assistance to you, please contact me via email at griffinw@faytechcc.edu or via phone number (910) 678-8314.
